“DAS ZEICHEN OST - Die Geschichte der Ostarbeiter:innen in Dessau” commemorates the people and children who were deported to Germany from the former Soviet Union by the Nazis between 1941 and 1945 and forced to work. The film brings their personal memories to places where a culture of remembrance has never been established for them. In other words, to the places where they had to work, live and, in some cases, die.
