Rosa describes herself as a European Jew. The path to this self-designation is characterised by a confrontation with her own family history. The 24-year-old grew up in Halle as the daughter of Jewish quota refugees and Soviet migrants. Her mother Yanina and grandmother Fira came to Germany from Ukraine in 1996. In conversation with each other, the three talk about their faith and being Jewish in different times and political systems. The film creates a link to current Jewish life in Germany and the emergence of Jewish post-Soviet identities.

A film by Hannah Diehl, Johanna Stolz and Valerie Börner. The film was made in April 2023.
